Historically, UMOS was a single focused organization that served migrant and seasonal farm workers. UMOS provided emergency services such as food, clothing and shelter. Today, UMOS is a national organization, serving not only migrant and seasonal farm workers and Hispanics, but low income and other disadvantaged populations as well. We now have operations throughout the state of Wisconsin, as well as in Minnesota, Texas and South Dakota.
We will continue to explore opportunities in our four main areas of concentration: migrant programs and services, health promotion/disease prevention, welfare reform/workforce development and cultural events.
