"PAVE was launched in 1978 with a simple — but important — mission: Empowering those affected by violence.
Our services and programs have expanded significantly over four decades, but our core mission has remained the same.
Our dedicated staff and selfless volunteers collectively work together to serve thousands of people every year, working to ensure that no one in Dodge and Jefferson Counties — or anywhere else — should ever be forced into victimhood.
From our crisis advocates to our childcare volunteers, from our passionate board-members to those who come by every week with toothbrushes and toilet paper, we continue to pursue our organizational mission day in and day out, 365 days a year.
In 1990, we opened our first shelter. It is the bedrock of PAVE, and it can comfortably provide refuge for up to 20 people across five rooms. We have our sights set on expanding this important facility in the years to come."
